Klangites may recall the Chinese Kopitiam located in the corner shop at the main street in Little India in Klang that was famous for it’s coffee and tea and also the Beef Noodles. It was my favorite place to savor the Beef Noodles as not many places offer such noodles in Klang but unfortunately Mr. Ng had to close his business as the shop owner sold the property to another person. That was many years ago and only until now when a good friend of mine mentioned about the new opening of the noodle shop by Mr. Ng in a new location nearly a month ago and I immediately gathered a few friends to taste again the Beef Noodles. I took a spoonful of the broth and it tasted so good as before. The original recipe from Canton province introduce by Mr. Ng’s father from China. And those who do not consume beef can opt for other dishes too.

First Monthly Super 10 Tiebreak Challenge Singles Round-robin
A half day event of tennis for singles and doubles are played in a social and fun atmosphere. No gender base or age group and regardless of any level of skills.
We enjoy playing tennis and increase our fitness at the same time.
Opened by Malaysian couple Sonny & Debra with a view to benefiting indigenous workers from Sabah & Sarawak as well as people who might not be able to afford a meal.
This chicken is damn bloody good. A must dish to order if you re here.
The Sarawak Laksa is also just as good. Not so spicy but very flavorful.
We had to try the Nasi Lemak because it’s a common food in Malaysia and everyone eats it. Here it’s best to go with the Ayam Goreng Berempah.
Just 2 of us and we shared 3 items. Totally satisfying meal and for dessert we had the Durian soft ice-cream. Buy one free one. Yummy!
There are two components of Charlie’s mission. Behind the scenes in the kitchen, the Borneo-born Sonny & Debra employ mainly folks from East Malaysia & try to use a fair bit of indigenous produce for their menu. As common and ordinary as it may sound, we all love Banana Leaf Curry Rice! As Malaysians we are prone to enormous cravings that points us in the direction of a banana leaf restaurant. Haha!
Their signature dish of fried tenggiri fish is a must-eat.
Looking unassuming and even a little dry with its crust of chilli powder and spices, the dark brown chunk hid a juicy surprise within… firm and sweet tasting fish flesh.
So if you are in Subang this is the place to go for a Banana Leaf Curry Rice.

Many would have known (probably even non-Chinese) that Wantan Mee (or also known as wanton noodles) is one of the trademark dishes of the Chinese community in Malaysia and beyond. In fact, the availability of this noodles is so abundant that almost every corner in a Chinese-lived vicinity has it.
Being bred in Klang and having tried some new and old Wantan Mee stalls, I have always stayed loyal to the one and only which I think has a quality of taste standing above par.
The green pickle chilly is a must when eating wan tan mee.
But my favorite is still the broad type of wan tan mee as shown above.

This restaurant can cater to any request that you desire from noodles to dishes.
But the one that caught my eyes was the one that the captain recommended which is a Yin Yong noodles with a huge deep fried fish on top of it with plenty of vegetables.

After less than an hour on a boat from the east coast of Malaysia, the laid-back atmosphere and the natural beauty of the Perhentian islands immediately transport you to a different world. The white sand is dotted with sun-worshipping holiday makers, some retreating to the shade for a glass of freshly squeezed juice. A group of scuba divers are boarding a boat to venture out into the turquoise waters and submerge themselves in the underwater wonderland. Gunung Mulu National Park is a protected rainforest in Malaysian Borneo. It’s known for its dramatic peaks and caves, including the huge, bat-filled Deer Cave. The cave leads to the Garden of Eden, a hidden valley and waterfall enclosed by limestone cliffs. The Pinnacles at Gunung Api are tall, jagged limestone formations with steep trails and rare orchids. The summit of Gunung Mulu Mountain has views over the park.

Crab and salted fish curries

Acha Curry House did not only serves the normal fish, chicken and dhall curries but instead, they opted for a more unique approach which includes salted fish, onion, and crab curry, which somehow works splendidly. Ask any customer, they wouldn’t have any regrets. As for me I love the salted fish curry and have yet to try the onion curry.
Another great addition to have with their banana leaf rice is the ikan bilis sambal which gives you a great burst of spice and flavour with just one spoonful, although in a weird way you’ll want even more when sweat starts pouring out of your glands. The fried bitter gourd are also great as they are always crunchy.
Their fried tinggiri fish as well as their mutton maruval also deserve honourable mention.
We finished off with a glass of Iced Moru(buttermilk with spices) which was very refreshing for a warm day.
