Butter Milk Chicken – Restoran Gold Chilli

This restaurant is just a stone throw away from Subang SS15 LRT station.

Super famous butter milk chicken

Crispy fried pieces of chicken are generously doused with a creamy and delicious butter & milk gravy – perfect with a bit of rice and chopped chilli padi.

The main reason why we’re here is because of this menu. Gold Chilli Butter Milk Chicken here have a reasonable portion sizes. Personally I like how consistent the condensed buttermilk sauce and the sweet taste it produce. They added a little curry leaves and chilies to give it a little kick to the sweet buttery sauce.

Banana Leaf Curry Rice – Moorthy’s Mathai Restaurant

As common and ordinary as it may sound, we all love Banana Leaf Curry Rice! As Malaysians we are prone to enormous cravings that points us in the direction of a banana leaf restaurant. Haha!

Their signature dish of fried tenggiri fish is a must-eat.

Looking unassuming and even a little dry with its crust of chilli powder and spices, the dark brown chunk hid a juicy surprise within… firm and sweet tasting fish flesh.

So if you are in Subang this is the place to go for a Banana Leaf Curry Rice.

Punjabi Cuisine – Restoran Big Singh Chapati

At Big Singh Chapati, it’s easy to feel like you’re dining at a friend’s home, thanks to a chef who jives as he makes chapati out front and the friendly servers who strike spontaneous conversations. Enjoy eating with your hands here — an experience you much try! The set menu is king, and offers platters of a main dish, dhal, chutney, dessert of the day and your choice of either two chapatis, naan or biryani to mop it all up with. A foolproof combo would be the Mutton Set. The Kashmiri specialty, mutton rogan josh, offers plenty of lamb-aromatic gravy to go with your carbs. The restaurant also has a list of desi specials such as the Puree & Chole, which serves aloo chole (masala-style cauliflower, chickpeas and potatoes) with three pieces of puree (deep-fried, unleavened bread) — wrap a dollop of aloo chole in a piece of puree for a delicious mouthful!

Pork – Naughty Nuri’s Warung

Naughty Nuri’s is your one stop pork station for all things pork.

Famed for their sinful, finger-licking 1995 Signature Spare Ribs marinated with Balinese spices and chargrilled to perfection (RM43.90 for 1 slab), it’s no wonder why they are almost always packed at dinnertime.

We did try out other dishes such as the Siew Yoke Salad, Nasi Goreng, Deep Fry Duck with Rice and some starters.

Overall the spare ribs is awesome and ambiance of the place is perfect, full of character.

Beef brisket, tripe and spices are boiled in a dark-coloured soup for hours which renders it very robust. Pick your noodles, and these are then blanched before serving them with the tasty full-bodied beef broth, brisket and beef balls.

Very nicely done and taste good.
